My Journey to Becoming a Therapist

I have had the opportunity to work in the fields of Criminal Justice, Social Services, and Education. I also had the honor of being a foster parent for many years. All of these experiences provided me with the understanding of how great the need was for quality and affordable mental health support.

These experiences provided me with the ability to approach mental health from a unique perspective. Although I have had an exciting career path, nothing has been more fulfilling than being a therapist to my clients and offering educational experiences to a community of concerned individuals through public presentation.

My Affiliations

In addition to these rich experiences, I am also the Executive Director of the nonprofit organization (Raven's Provision Inc.) that seeks to provide resources to populations that have been impacted by ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) along with providing support for youth transitioning out of foster care. Although I am educated, nothing has taught me more about life than the individuals I have been honored to serve.

My Qualifications

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in Florida. I have a MS in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. My grad school internship was with a community domestic violence shelter which provided me with a strong background in domestic violence recovery, breakups and relationship loss. In addition to education I have ample exposure to various challenges many people experience on a day-to-day basis that impacts their mental health. Let me know how I can help.
